Why You’re Still Single

Many times when I try to help a client or friend see that their relationship is not good for them, their response is that all relationships have problems. Their view is that someone else will just bring another set of difficulties or even the same ones. So they might as well just stay with the one they have and not go through the heartache of breaking up.

Many of these “relationships” are only one-sided; one person (my client) is crazy about or feels in love with the other but they feel lonely and aren’t getting the love they want. They claim it’s only because they haven’t met anyone better and swear that they’ll stop seeing this one as soon as they do.

The reality is no one better will ever come along because your energy is focused on someone wrong for you…you’re keeping everyone else away.

They all choose to tolerate bad behavior instead of trusting that they can have better. They give away their power and settle because they don’t believe that the grass can actually be greener in another relationship.

The truth is you can have whatever you want. You just have to believe you can.

Start by changing your internal dialogue, what you say to yourself. You are what you think you are, so you have to think nice things about yourself to raise your self-esteem.

Trusting yourself to make better choices. Empowered choices. Without making a conscious effort to change your pattern you will keep attracting and choosing the same type of partners. Therefore you’ll keep getting the same result—relationships that don’t work. It makes sense that you might believe there isn’t anyone better for you. But I promise if you change your pattern you can have a better man or woman—and a healthy relationship.
